Parking Attendant (Valet) – UPMC
As a Parking Attendant, you are often the first-person patients and visitors meet when they arrive at the hospital. You help create a positive experience by greeting guests, assisting with valet parking services, providing directions, and helping patients safely enter and exit vehicles. Parking Attendants play an important role in keeping traffic moving efficiently while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for everyone visiting UPMC. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Safely park and retrieve vehicles.
  • Provide directions and customer service support.
  • Assist patients with wheelchairs and general mobility needs when necessary. ​​
  • Help maintain smooth traffic flow in valet and parking areas. ​
  • Monitor parking areas for safety concerns and report hazards.
  • Support emergency response procedures if needed. ​
Ideal Candidate
  • Enjoys helping people and providing excellent customer service.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and staying active throughout the shift.
  • Has a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Communicates well and remains professional in a busy environment

  • Despite parking being a 24/7 operation, 90%of all the work is done Monday through Friday 6AM to 6PM.
